In 1991 we decided we didn't love playing Arenas. We wanted to return to theatre-type spaces and play the kind of shows we'd always done: expansive, slightly unpredictable and fairly eclectic.
This was the last show of the year for that tour. As I recall it we'd always imagined it would be a proper Hogmanay show...it turned out the city council owned the venue and the concert kicked off and finished even earlier than most nights as council employees had to be home for their own celebrations!
It was too our fourth night in a venue no one was quite sure of... yet. The Concert Hall had been built to open in Glasgow's year of culture (1990) and everyone felt a little intimidated at first. I have NO memories of the night, but we enjoyed have Michael Marra on the road with us. There's a nice little cameo appearance towards the end. Hope you enjoy it.
